[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened lower on Thursday weighed down by a higher yen against the dollar and falls on Wall Street.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was down 0.44 per cent or 104.09 points at 23,535.37 in early trade, while the broader Topix index slipped 0.58 per cent or 9.51 points to 1,628.09.
