TOKYO stocks opened lower on Tuesday, tracking falls on Wall Street, where investors locked in profits on lingering worries over the slowing economy and higher interest rates.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was down 0.23 per cent, or 61.25 points, at 26,810.02 in early trade, while the broader Topix index was down 0.01 per cent, or 0.13 points, at 1,887.29. AFP
