[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened lower on Wednesday following a jittery session on Wall Street with eyes on US economic data.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was down 0.38 per cent or 109.76 points at 28,444.22 in early trade, while the broader Topix index lost 0.35 per cent or 6.75 points to 1,912.77.
