The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 142.00 points, or 0.43 per cent, at the open to 33,451.51.
The S&P 500 opened higher by 17.16 points, or 0.41 per cent, at 4,227.40, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 90.02 points, or 0.70 per cent, to 12,944.82 at the opening bell. REUTERS
