SINGAPORE shares lost 1.6 per cent over the past week as the local market was afflicted by wariness over interest rates, Greece and China.
The Straits Times Index closed at 3,300.96 on Friday, a modest gain of 0.54 point, or about 0.02 per cent, on the day. But with three negative sessions over the week, the market benchmark headed into the weekend less than where it stood one seven days earlier.
Gainers outnumbered losers 242 to 179, or about four stocks up for every three down, on Friday.
