CAPITALAND India Trust (Clint) has appointed Gauri Shankar Nagabhushanam as its new chief executive officer, effective August 2024.

He is currently the CEO of India business park at CapitaLand Investment. The plan is for him to succeed the outgoing CEO, Sanjeev Dasgupta, around August 2024, the company said in a statement on Wednesday (May 15).

“This is to allow for continuity in leadership as they work together in the transition of responsibility,” it said.

With effect from May 16, Nagabhushanam will be CEO-designate and will be responsible for driving the growth of Clint.

As CEO of India business park, he was responsible for growing the company’s business park portfolio in India. This includes investments, development operations, asset management and strategic planning for business parks in the country.

He has over 20 years of experience in real estate private equity, fund management, corporate finance as well as corporate banking and advisory.

Previously, Nagabhushanam was the head of investments and chief finance officer at Ascendas-Firstspace. He has also managed Ascendas-Singbridge’s India private funds business.

His other previous stints include positions at Deloitte, TAIB Bank and Samba Financial Group.

Units of Clint closed 0.9 per cent or S$0.01 lower at S$1.05 on Wednesday.
