CENTURION Corporation's net profit for the second quarter ended June 30 edged up 3 per cent year on year to S$9.11 million.

Revenue rose 23 per cent to S$35.25 million, largely contributed by ASPRI-Westlite Papan, which obtained its temporary occupation permit in May 2016, and has since achieved an average occupancy of over 95 per cent in Q2 2017.

In addition, the four student accommodation assets in the United Kingdom (UK Braemar), which were acquired in July 2016, have also contributed positively to the group's revenue.

Earnings per share for the quarter rose to 1.23 Singapore cents, from 1.19 Singapore cents a year ago.

An interim dividend of one Singapore cent per share has been declared.
