Centurion Corporation and Lian Beng Group to build 7,900-bed workers accommodation and training centre
CENTURION Corporation and Lian Beng Group have been selected in a tender to develop a workers accommodation and training centre located in Jalan Papan.
The joint venture, Centurion-Lian Beng (Papan), is a 51-49 per cent joint venture between Centurion and Lian Beng. The tender was put up by ASPRI Dormitory, an entity of the Association of Process Industry (ASPRI).
Centurion-Lian Beng will design, build, and operate the 7,900-bed purpose built workers accommodation in Jalan Papan to cater to workers from the process industry.
The integrated development will also house a 3,000 square metre training centre providing training facilities for workers from the process industry who are also residents of the facility.
The self-contained community, which will be equipped with extensive recreational facilities and amenities, will sit on approximately 1.5 hectares of land, with a lease tenure of 23 years. The development is scheduled to be completed by mid-2016 and is conveniently located with easy access to Jurong Island.
