CEO of F&N Malaysian unit Lim Yew Hoe to retire after 11-year run

[SINGAPORE] Food and beverage conglomerate Fraser and Neave’s (F&N) Malaysia unit on Tuesday (Mar 24) said that its chief executive officer – Lim Yew Hoe – will retire on Sep 30 this year.
The 59-year-old will be leaving after an 11-year tenure with F&N Holdings Berhad, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Under his stewardship, the group advanced its integrated dairy development platform, an initiative which strengthened supply resilience, and supported the future development of the dairy industry in Malaysia, said the company.
Lim believes the company is well-positioned for its next phase of development.
Tarang Gupta will be appointed as CEO designate with effect from Jul 1, 2026. He will assume the role of CEO on Oct 1.
The company stated in a bourse filing that Lim will continue to lead the Malaysia unit during the transition period, and work closely with Gupta to ensure a “smooth and orderly handover of responsibilities”.

Gupta has more than 24 years of experience in the fast-moving consumer goods sector, with a strong track record of leading growth and transformation across Asia and Africa.
He has held various senior leadership roles overseeing organisations with end-to-end responsibility for commercial performance, operational excellence and capability development.
The 48-year-old most recently led Royal FrieslandCampina’s business in the Philippines through its subsidiary, Alaska Milk Corporation. He previously served as managing director of Dutch Lady Milk Industries in Malaysia and Singapore.
Shares of F&N closed up 0.7 per cent or S$0.01 at S$1.43 on Tuesday, before the announcement.
