Charity from Asia rich shifting towards impact investing: poll

THE rich in Asia are expected to move towards a form of charitable giving that comes with a financial return, a Credit Suisse report on Tuesday showed.
But the shift to impact investing - believed to be a more efficient use of funds to achieve social impact than philanthropy - may draw out tensions within generations in wealthy families, given fears by patriachs that millennials, who are more inclined towards this form of charitable giving, will find it too complex to handle.
