AS 11-year-old Melissa Hecker stood on a tall platform, she sang a famous number from Matilda The Musical that goes: "When I grow up/ I will be tall enough to reach the branches/ that I need to reach to climb the trees . . . I will be smart enough to answer all/ the questions that you need to know the answers to . . ."
The hope for a brighter, stronger future continued to be the fuel that lit the latest edition of the annual ChildAid concert, which opened on Friday and runs till Saturday at the Resorts World Theatre.
