China Everbright gets nod for 17.3% tariff hike at Shandong plant
CHINA Everbright Water has received approval to raise the tariff at the Binzhou Boxing Waste Water Treatment project by 17.3 per cent, the water treatment company announced on Thursday after the market closed.
The tariff hike had actually been in effect since July after the completion of upgrading and expansion works, but the company only announced on Thursday that it had received approval for the increase from the Boxing county government.
The current wastewater treatment capacity of the plant is 80,000 cubic metres.
China Everbright also began operation of the second phase of the Zibo Reusable Water project in September after completing construction from that phase. The total capacity of the project is now 9,600 cu m.
The company currently provides about 20 per cent of Shandong province's total wastewater treatment capacity, the company said.
Shares of China Everbright closed at 71 Singapore cents on Thursday, lower by 1.4 per cent or one Singapore cent.
