China Everbright Water's Q2 profit jumps 81%

CHINA Everbright Water on Monday reported an 81 per cent jump in net profit for the second quarter to HK$140.55 million (S$24.5 million).

Revenue for the three months ended June 30 rose 30 per cent year on year to HK$868.72 million due to an increase in construction revenue. Earnings per share for the quarter came to HK$0.054, from HK$0.030 previously.

For the six-month period, net profit was up 41 per cent at HK$255.05 million and revenue rose 24 per cent to HK$1.64 billion.
