China needs to rebalance its investments: analyst

DESPITE concerns over China's surging debt, the country is not overinvesting, but has to rebalance its investments to ensure that the economy is shifting towards a more consumption-led model, said a top analyst last week .
"The story is actually much more nuanced," said Elena Okorochenko, head of Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) from S&P Global Ratings, at a recent panel session at the DBS Institutional Investors Symposium.
