Chinese banks 'stand out in a bullish year'

STRONGER asset quality and steeper yield curves make Chinese banks one of the most attractive investments this year amid the global economic boom, said analysts at FSM Invest Expo 2018.
"China is one of those markets in Asia where potential returns are driven not just by earnings growth, but also by the potential for valuations to increase," said Kean Chan, assistant manager for research and portfolio management at Fundsupermart (FSM), which organised the event in conjunction with Singapore Press Holdings subsidiary, ShareInvestor. "This is not happening in US or Europe because valuations there are normalised."
