Chip Eng Seng drops plan to spin off construction units

CHIP Eng Seng Corporation on Monday said it would drop plans to spin off its subsidiaries that are in the construction business.
"The company has decided not to proceed with the proposed restructuring, having taken into account numerous factors, such as prevailing market conditions, amongst others," it said. The company had intended to list the restructured entity on the mainboard.
