Chip Eng Seng's Q2 profit soars

STRONG contributions from Singapore-based construction and property group Chip Eng Seng Corporation's construction and property developments divisions have boosted its earnings for the second quarter.

The group reported a net profit of S$18.6 million for the second quarter ended June 30, a 173 per cent leap from a year ago.

Group revenue rose 13.4 per cent from S$109.1 million in Q2 2013 to S$123.6 million.
