Civmec awarded contracts for Northern Gas Pipeline in Australia
CIVMEC Ltd has been awarded several contracts by Jemena Northern Gas Pipeline Pty Ltd for Jemena's Northern Gas Pipeline (NGP) project, located near Tennent Creek in Australia.
In a Singapore Exchange filing, the mainboard-listed construction and engineering services provider said on Wednesday that the project includes camp set-up, site civil, structural steel fabrication and the Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation (SMPEI) installation works at the Phillip Creek Compressor Station.
The SMPEI works involve the installation of the gas treatment equipment, residue gas compressor packages, export gas compressor packages, control room, switch room, as well as other components.
Site civil works have commenced and the SMPEI installation works are expected to start in late-September 2017, with completion scheduled for August 2018.
Including this project, the group's order book stands at about S$640 million.
Patrick Tallon, CEO of Civmec, said: "This is a significant and strategic award for us and, combined with the scope growth at the Inpex project in Darwin, it will see an enlargement of our on-site capabilities within our oil and gas division and an expansion of our brand in the Northern Territory."
Civmec closed trading at S$0.58 on Wednesday, down 1.5 Singapore cents, or 2.52 per cent.
