MSIG Asia is welcoming Clemens Philippi as chief operating officer (COO) and the newest member of its executive committee.
Beginning his term on Monday, Mr Philippi will be collaborating with the company's senior leadership team to help drive profitable and sustainable growth in the financial and insurance market.
"The new role of COO is testament to MSIG's commitment to Asia, and it underlines our ambition in the region. The business environment remains extremely challenging and dynamic, but at the same time we are well placed for sustainable growth. I am pleased to have Clemens joining us in driving business and operational synergies in Asia especially during these times," said Alan Wilson, chief executive officer (CEO) at MSIG Asia.
Mr Philippi was previously CEO for Asean in Euler Hermes, a subsidiary of the Allianz Group, since 2015.
Earlier this year, MSIG Asia also appointed chief risk officer William Song as its new executive vice-president and member of the executive committee.
