AS it shuts down its Tuas plant, Coca-Cola Singapore Beverages (CCSB) will be outsourcing its warehousing operations to local food and beverage player Yeo Hiap Seng.
"CCSB is in the final stages of concluding negotiations on the warehousing outsourcing agreement with local beverage distributor Yeo Hiap Seng," a CCSB spokeswoman said.
The up to 50 employees affected by the outsourcing move will be offered competitive severance packages and given the opportunity to apply for the new warehousing jobs at Yeo Hiap Seng, she said.
CCSB said last year that it was closing its Tuas bottling plant due to strategic reasons.
Yeo Hiap Seng last traded at S$1.32, up two cents.
