LAND transport group ComfortDelGro Corporation posted a net profit of S$80.9 million for the second quarter ended June 30, up 6.9 per cent from S$75.7 million a year ago.
Group revenue inched up 2.1 per cent to about S$1.04 billion, with growth coming from all its businesses except for automotive engineering services and the Driving Centre. The S$20.9 million rise in revenue would have been S$14.2 million higher were it not for the negative foreign currency translation due to the weaker Australian dollar and pound sterling, although this was slightly offset by the stronger renminbi, the group said in its results announcement.
