ComfortDelGro's Q3 profit rises 2.5% to S$87.3m
Operating costs decline due to lower fuel and electricity costs, taxi driver benefits and insurance premiums
Singapore
COMFORTDELGRO'S net profit for the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2016, rose 2.5 per cent to S$87.3 million even as group revenue fell 3.1 per cent to S$1.015 billion due to a negative foreign-currency effect.
The land transport giant said if not for the unfavourable translation effect of S$47.9 million due to the weaker pound and renminbi, group revenue would have increased by S$15.5 million.
