COMMERCIAL crimes in Singapore increased significantly in the first six months of the year from a year ago, led by the jumps in online cheats, even as other categories including violent/serious property crimes, thefts and housebreakings declined.
This resulted in a 6.7 per cent year-on-year rise in the total crime cases recorded in the first half of 2015 to 16,575, said the Singapore Police Force (SPF) on Monday.
