Commodity stocks see price recovery

A RUN-UP in the share prices of commodity stocks on the Singapore Exchange in recent weeks has caught the market by surprise.
Some analysts attribute it to news of a possible sale of Noble Group's agribusiness arm to China's largest grains trader COFCO Corp, signalling what could be a return of investor interest into the sector.
Noble and COFCO are reported to be in talks to form a joint venture in sugar, soybeans and wheat.
