Pete Air Co now SIA's associated company
PETE AIR CO is now considered an associated company of the Singapore Airlines group. This comes after SIA's wholly owned budget carrier Scoot acquired 874,999 shares, or 43.75 per cent, in a joint venture company (JVC) for around 87.5 million Thai baht (S$3.4 million). In June, Scoot and Thailand-based carrier Nok Airlines said they would be starting up a JVC by acquiring Pete Air, which already holds an air operator's licence. The JVC will be renamed NokScoot Airlines.
