GLOBAL airlines' ancillary revenues are expected to climb to US$67.4 billion this year, up nearly 14 per cent from last year, with the bulk of it coming from a la carte options such as premium seats.
About two thirds or US$44.9 billion in ancillary revenue - that is, non-ticket revenue - will come from add-on services such as the sale of food & beverages, checked baggage as well as premium-seat and early-boarding fees.
