Changi Airport unveils food-delivery service Changi Eats
CHANGI Airport Group (CAG) is starting its food-delivery service, through which customers can mix and match orders from up to five food-and-beverage (F&B) outlets in Changi Airport and Jewel Changi Airport - with no mark-up in the prices of the food.
Nearly 30 F&B establishments are now on the "Changi Eats" platform, including brands such as Burger & Lobster Singapore, Paradise Dynasty and Lady M, CAG said in a statement on Friday.
A minimum order of S$50 is required. Orders may be made a day in advance and up to two hours before the scheduled delivery slots available from 12.30pm to 8pm daily.
If payment is made with a MasterCard, delivery is free island-wide with a minimum order of S$50; there is an additional 15 per cent off if the bill hits at least S$80. Diners can also choose to do a self-pickup to earn a S$10 Changi gift card with every S$50 spent.
New promotions will be introduced weekly on the platform.
James Fong, vice-president of landside concessions at CAG, said the group has been experimenting with food delivery to the eastern part of Singapore.
"When Covid-19 hit us, we seized the opportunity to quickly scale up and introduce our dining options in Changi and Jewel to the entire island of diners. What sets us apart is the wide food variety across our two establishments. With Changi Eats, the customer has the freedom to mix and match over 600 different cuisines, snacks, desserts and wines from up to five outlets, all within the comfort of their home."
He added that Changi Eats, which began in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, has "transformed the group's F&B business model" and given it the opportunity to do more to support local small and medium-sized enterprises.
