HOMEGROWN digital telco Circles.Life on Tuesday unveiled what is said to be the largest no-contract data plan in the local market, as well as plans to expand across Asia in the next few years.
While observers said that this pointed to healthy competition in the sector, they questioned the viability of digital telcos. The latter, unlike traditional telcos, do not own physical distribution channels, but operate on a digital model, through which customers sign up via a website and customise their mobile plans via an app.
