CONSUMER confidence picked up in December to end the year on a more positive note, but 2016 will still be a challenging year for the Singapore consumer.
The December reading for the ANZ-Roy Morgan Singapore Consumer Confidence index rose to 126.5 points, up 1.3 points month on month and 4.7 points higher year on year. The score was also significantly higher than the long-term average of 123.7 points, the report noted.
