EZ-Link launches digital platform for TRUST Programme
Singapore
EZ-LINK Pte Ltd announced on Tuesday the launch of three new phone applications for the TRUST Programme, which will digitise processes and improve user-friendliness.
TRUST, initially launched in 2015, serves as an alternative to insurance schemes for pre-paid spa packages. It was initiated by the Consumers Association of Singapore (Case), following complaints about abrupt closures and aggressive sales tactics in the beauty industry. It ensures the refund of un-utilised amounts in the prepaid package, should the merchant cease operations. This is done by escrowing funds paid by consumers for spa packages, only releasing them to merchants in instalments after a spa treatment is redeemed.
