AS global supply chains feel the strain of higher air freights and a spike in blank sailings, the effects are particularly acute in the food and beverage industry, exacerbated further by widespread lockdowns and rising protectionist measures.
To that end, regional associations Food Industry Asia (FIA) and the Asean Food and Beverage Alliance have issued a statement calling on governments across the region to ensure the unhindered production and supply of food and beverages.
