The system optimises airflow by mimicking ventilation strategies present in nature, providing a 12 per cent* reduction in power consumption when generating the same amount of airflow as compared to its predecessor the Multi V 5.
Designed around the idea that every space has an optimal condition, the Multi V i leverages AI to intelligently calibrate settings in several ways.
The machine is fitted with sensors that continuously gather and analyse data such as the set temperature, ambient temperature and humidity. Using this data, it adapts to the most appropriate setting by adjusting temperature and airflow rate automatically. Through patterns learned from the data, it can also determine when to enter power-saving mode to prevent unnecessary usage without compromising on comfort.

For large spaces, multiple indoor units cooling the same space can also be grouped virtually thanks to the machine's AI Indoor Space Care. By collecting and analysing temperature data every 30 seconds, the units work cohesively to ensure an even ideal temperature is maintained throughout the entire space. This solves the issue of 'cooling blindspots', where corners of a large space can feel stuffy or warm.
By using advanced AI and sensor technology, the Multi V i delivers significant energy savings of up to 24.7 per cent* when compared to the Multi V 5, while reducing the time required to reach the set temperature by 28.5 per cent*.
If you want to understand your consumption needs better, the machine's smart energy management system can help to plan your future energy usage as it lets you preset a monthly energy usage target. By comparing and analysing previous consumption patterns, an Energy Pattern Model will be generated to prevent you from overuse, thus lowering operational costs. This is why LG's Multi V i has an Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) that is up to 15 per cent* higher than its predecessor. The National Environment Agency has also given it a five-tick rating for its energy efficiency and ability to lower your energy costs.
Together with its impressive line-up of next generation features, the Multi V i is also user-friendly and suitable for deployment in a wide range of building types.
Being able to seamlessly integrate with third-party Building Management Systems (BMS) eliminates the need for additional support beyond what conventional models require. Control solutions can also be tailored to meet the specific requirements of each building and user scenario, providing flexibility in how the system is deployed.
Its touch screen panel controller features an intuitive user-oriented design, significantly enhancing the overall user experience. Beyond showing the settings of indoor units, the controller displays daily operation trends so users can track performance and anticipate potential operational snags, plus it also monitors air quality.
The AI-enabled system is also capable of smartly diagnosing its components - such as the refrigerant, compressor, and sensors - and this analysis can be triggered through the all-in-one controller interface at any time. This gives an immediate and comprehensive overview of equipment status, enhancing reliability during operations and saving time and cost that would have been otherwise spent on servicing.
In line with its predecessors, the Multi V i maintains its Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing for software upgrades to be conveniently updated through the cloud. It also provides seamless connectivity to LG's ThinQ app, giving you access to fully control your Multi V i remotely via your mobile phone.
At 17.5 sqm2, the compact Multi V i single module 26HP outdoor unit requires less installation space than conventional variable refrigerant flow outdoor units which allows you to save on space.
