THE fast-food breakfast wars are alive and well, and McDonald's is on the attack.
The maker of the Egg McMuffin has said it will serve free coffee on Mondays for the rest of this year in the Washington region. With this offer beginning this week, patrons will be able to walk up to the counter for a small iced coffee or a hot cuppa free of charge. The perk is also available at drive-through windows for those who are on the run.
