Mexico's soda tax influencing consumers: study
Sales of sugary drinks continue to fall in second year of the tax, especially among low-income Mexicans

IN the first year of a big soda tax in Mexico, sales of sugary drinks fell. In the second year, they fell further, according to new research.
The finding is the best evidence to date of how sizable taxes on such drinks, increasingly favoured by large American cities, may affect consumer behaviour.
