Sept retail figures reflect weak economic indices
Economic realities set in as August's SG50 celebratory spending wears off

SAVE for car sellers, September was a tough month for Singapore retailers, as harsh external factors wash off the effects of an SG50-induced spending in August.
Figures from the Department of Statistics on Thursday show that total retail sales went up 4.6 per cent, thanks mainly to car sales.
