THE Singapore branch of London-based Soho House has been identified as the private members' club behind the Halloween-themed dinner that led to the suspension of Gemma Steakhouse for violating safe-distancing measures.

A club spokesman told The Business Times the club has been told that "Covid-19 safety measures may have been breached", and added that the club is co-operating with the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) in its investigation into the Oct 31 incident. It was reported last week that the ilLido-owned restaurant was ordered shut for 20 days from Dec 3 for organising a dinner for 75 people and not doing enough to prevent intermingling between tables.
