SINGAPORE has won the bid to host the 103rd Lions Clubs International (LCI) Convention, which is expected to bring the city-state more than S$58 million in tourism receipts when it is held here in 2020.
The Lions Clubs Singapore will tie up with the Singapore Exhibition & Conventions Bureau, a unit of the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), to present the annual convention of one of the world's biggest non-governmental organisations.
This meeting has been held in June or July every year since 1917, and will be the biggest association congress to be held in Singapore thus far.
