Wipro Consumer Care making bigger Splash in personal care market
The 11th acquisition of Wipro group's personal, skin and home care unit gives it a foothold in the Philippines; company eyes expansion in emerging markets

WHILE information technology and outsourcing continue to dominate Wipro's commercial activity, the Indian conglomerate's original business - now based in Singapore - has been growing quietly and is starting to assert its presence in Asia.
Last week, Wipro Consumer Care acquired personal care and food manufacturer Splash Corporation in the Philippines, expanding its portfolio of leading brands in personal care as well as "completing its footprint across South-east Asia", the Singapore-based firm said in an announcement.
