Serial System

CLARIFYING a Nov 13 report, Serial Systems announced on Monday that its executive chairman and group CEO Derek Goh was "the subject matter of the investigations by the Monetary Authority Singapore" and that "the investigation by the authority concerned Section 197/198 of the Securities and Futures Act, Chapter 289 of Singapore". Its Nov 13 report said that Mr Goh "has been requested by the MAS to assist in investigations in his personal capacity concerning the Securities and Futures Act, Chapter 289 of Singapore". Section 197 covers false trading and market rigging transaction and 198 relates to securities market manipulation.
