NetLink NBN Trust

NETLINK Trust has received permission from the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) to resume the provision of fibre services to homes and offices, it said on Tuesday. Mainboard-listed NetLink NBN Trust wholly owns NetLink Trust.

Last week, the IMDA ordered NetLink to suspend all service orders for homes and offices after four workers under one of its contractors tested positive for the Covid-19.

To provide additional assurance to customers, NetLink will now require employees and contractors' workers to wear face shields where practical, in addition to face masks.

The company warned customers to expect longer wait times for service orders to be fulfilled, due to a mandatory 14-day Stay Home Order for all workers in the construction sector. It said the ongoing restrictions on foreign workers would significantly constrain its capacity to fulfil service requests, adding that it would prioritise homes currently

without broadband access and those requiring urgent fault repairs.

PARKWAY Group has suspended the accreditation and clinical privileges of Dr Julian Ong at Mount Elizabeth Novena, Mount Elizabeth, Gleneagles and Parkway East Hospitals by the Parkway Group. HC Surgical has a 70 per cent stake in Dr Ong's practice.

Dr Ong's suspension follows a complaint made against him to the Singapore Medical Council.

His accreditation and clinical privileges expire on July 1, 2021, and will expire if there is no dismissal of the complaint by then.

HC Surgical said Dr Ong's suspension is not expected to have any material impact on its consolidated earnings per share or net tangible assets per share for the current financial year ending May 31, 2020.

He will be allowed to continue practising at the group's heartland centres.
