RISING Sun Energy, which Charisma Energy owns together with Singapore solar firm Sunseap International and an Indian partner, will be building a solar farm in India with a capacity of 140 megawatts at peak conditions. It will also have a 25-year contract to supply power to National Thermal Power Corporation, said Sunseap. To be funded through internal resources and debt financing, the project is expected to start commercial operations in the second quarter of next year and will generate some US$80.9 million in revenue in the first five years, Charisma said on Wednesday.
