Olam International

AGRI-BUSINESS group Olam International said on Wednesday that it has acquired the remaining 50 per cent stake it does not already own in Acacia Investments (AI) from its joint venture partner for US$24 million. The acquisition is expected to be completed this month.

AI has a significant presence in edible oils refining and distribution in East Africa, said Olam. Olam had acquired its current 50 per cent stake in AI for US$35 million in October 2012.
