Straits Trading Company

THE Straits Trading Company said its subsidiary Straits Real Estate (SRE) has been in talks with potential buyers for the sale of an office building in central Melbourne. The discussions may or may not lead to the sale of the building, it said in an announcement to the Singapore Exchange on Thursday. Straits Trading was clarifying reports in the Australian newspapers that it has sold the William Street office building which SRE acquired last year.
