SINGAPORE Press Holdings (SPH) on Friday announced several key appointments in the Chinese Media Group (CMG). It has appointed current Lianhe Wanbao editor Lee Huay Leng as head of CMG, with effect from Dec 1, 2016. Ms Lee is also senior vice-president of Lianhe Zaobao. Alongside Goh Sin Teck, editor of Lianhe Zaobao, Ms Lee will report to SPH's deputy CEO Anthony Tan. Chua Chim Kang, currently managing editor of CMG, will take over from Ms Lee as editor of Lianhe Wanbao on Dec 1. He will also be appointed managing editor (Chinese Radio).

The Cultural Industry Promotion Department of CMG will be renamed Culture, Education and New Growth and will be helmed by Loh Woon Yen, currently deputy digital editor of CMG. She will be appointed VP for this division from Dec 1, 2016, and will relinquish her current position.
