MAINBOARD-LISTED specialty lodgings provider Centurion Corp plans to buy a student housing project in Manchester for £18.7 million (S$33.7 million), it said on Friday, after inking the contract. 121 Princess Street is a six-storey, 127-bed freehold property that is expected to become earnings-accretive when the deal is concluded in July.
No profit is attributable to the property now, as refurbishment is ongoing, according to Centurion's filing on the Singapore Exchange website. The property will be the 27th portfolio asset for Centurion, which closed up 3.23 per cent at S$0.48 before the announcement.
