NOBLE Group's chairman Richard Elman has stepped down from the firm's audit committee and its nominating committee, Noble said on Wednesday. Independent non-executive director Christopher Pratt has been appointed chairman of the remuneration and options committee, and Richard Margolis, another independent non-executive director, has been appointed chairman of the corporate social responsibility and government relations committee.

Artivision Technologies

AN affiliated company of Artivision Technologies has signed a definitive agreement with Chinese Internet video firm Tudou to help the latter insert advertisements in its videos more effectively through its advanced video analysis technology. Both will share the advertising revenue generated from the advertisements based on an agreed proportion that was not disclosed.

China Merchants Holdings

CHINA Merchants Holdings (Pacific) has completed the acquisition of Guangxi Huatong Expressway, which owns the rights to operate the 39.5km Yangshuo-Pingle Expressway in Guangxi. This was one of three proposed acquisitions that China Merchants had announced in June, for a total purchase price of 3.04 billion yuan (S$678.3 million) which will be financed through external bank borrowings and/or the issuance of new securities.
