Centurion Corporation

CENTURION saw a 13 per cent decline in revenue to S$30.7 million for the first quarter ended March 31, 2021. Revenue from the purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) segment fell 38 per cent to S$7.7 million as travel restrictions impacted occupancy, especially in Australia.

Average financial occupancy for the PBSA portfolio was 56 per cent for Q1, compared with 8 per cent the year before. This excludes the US portfolio that is held under a private fund in which the group holds an interest of 28.7 per cent.

EC World Reit

EC WORLD Real Estate Investment Trust's (EC World Reit) distribution per unit (DPU) rose 32.3 per cent to 1.532 Singapore cents for the first quarter ended March 31, 2021, from 1.158 cents the year before.

Gross revenue was up by 30.9 per cent to S$30.8 million. Net property income (NPI) also rose 30.9 per cent, to S$27.7 million.

Distribution to unitholders rose 32.9 per cent to S$12.4 million. Distributions are expected to be made on June 29.

Silverlake Axis

MAINBOARD-LISTED Silverlake Axis's profit after tax rose 51 per cent to RM38.7 million (S$12.56 million) for the third quarter ended March 31.

This was despite a 7 per cent fall in revenue to RM140.9 million.

Gross profit rose 2 per cent to RM84.8 million, while other income nearly tripled to RM6.3 million from RM2.3 million the year before.

Earnings per share came in at 1.5 sen, up from 0.97 sen the year before.

Silverlake has secured new contracts with a total value of about RM60 million.

Excelpoint Technology

ELECTRONICS component distributor Excelpoint Technology posted a net profit of US$4.4 million for the first quarter ended March 31, about 19 times its net profit in the corresponding quarter the year before.

The group enjoyed higher demand for semiconductors. Revenue climbed 32.9 per cent to US$336.3 million, mainly due to higher sales in Singapore and Hong Kong.

Gross profit rose 80.2 per cent to US$23.4 million.

Earnings per share was 3.66 US cents, compared with 0.19 cents the year before.
