Venture Corporation
VENTURE Corporation on Wednesday announced the appointment of Temasek-owned Vertex Venture Holdings group president and chief executive Chua Kee Lock as the company's independent non-executive director. Mr Chua is also lead independent director of crane manufacturer Yongmao Holdings and credit and risk-information provider Credit Bureau Asia, as well as director of Vertex Venture Holdings.
Eagle Hospitality Trust (EHT)
EAGLE Hospitality Trust (EHT) trustee DBS Trustee on Wednesday said in a regulatory filing that the highest and best offer received for EHT's Delta Woodbridge Hotel (DW) in New Jersey, USA, was US$23.5 million. This follows three months of marketing efforts by the engaged commercial real estate brokerage company, Eastdil Secured.
The Superior Court of New Jersey entered a final judgement for the foreclosure of the DW in the amount of approximately US$37.6 million, which will be partially offset by proceed from the sale.
Alpha DX
THE learning solutions company said said on Wednesday that it will, together with the Ministry of Higher and Secondary- Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan (MHSSE), be injecting some US$50 million into a joint venture (JV) for the development and growth of a university in Uzbekistan.
This is the company's first public and private partnership, and is part of an memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between the company and MHSSE. Under a MOU, Alpha and MHSSE will establish a joint venture with the primary purpose of establishing and managing the the Asnaro University of Uzbekistan (AUU), a university that will be fully integrated with the ubiquitous learning platform developed by Alpha DX's subsidiaries.
