NERA Telecommunications said on Tuesday that its subsidiary has received a contract of around S$6 million.

The contract relates to the provision of a fibre to the home infrastructure network for a "major service provider" in South-east Asia.

Nera Telecommunications said the contract is not expected to have a significant impact on the performance of the company and its subsidiary for the current financial year.

The company's shares closed unchanged at S$0.15 on Tuesday, before the announcement.

INTERRA Resources said on Tuesday that its joint venture entity, Goldpetrol Joint Operating Company, has commenced drilling a development well, CHK 1228, in the Chauk oil field in Myanmar.

The petroleum exploration and production firm has a 60 per cent interest in the Improved Petroleum Recovery Contract of the Chauk field and also owns 60 per cent of Goldpetrol, which is the operator of the field.

The well is the sixth development well drilled in Myanmar that is budgeted for 2021. It is estimated that the drilling and completion results will be available in around six weeks.

Interra shares rose 2.6 per cent on Tuesday to close at S$0.039, before the announcement.
