Corporate Governance Week to be held on Oct 7-14
THE Securities Investors Association’s annual Corporate Governance Week will be held on Oct 7-14 this year.
This year’s conference focuses on the need to strengthen governance practices in a time of disruption, and how companies can stay resilient to function.
The Corporate Governance Conference on Oct 10 will look at ESG (environmental, social and governance) and stakeholder capitalism, including how investors are driving the ESG agenda and the role of boards.
Speakers at the conference include BlackRock’s head of Asia-Pacific investment stewardship Amar Gill, UBS Wealth Management’s chief economist Paul Donovan, and chair of the UK’s Financial Reporting Council Jan Du Plessis.
Other programmes throughout the week include a combination of physical and online conferences, workshops, and forums to discuss best practices in corporate governance for industry professionals, companies, non-profit organisations and charities.
